Ringwood Pastoral
Regenerative Farming
At Ringwood, we believe looking after the land and running a productive farm go hand in hand. We are continually exploring new ways to improve our pastures, build healthier soils and manage the challenges of our landscape while maintaining a productive cattle and sheep operation.
We take a practical, evolving approach to regenerative farming. From forestry mulching and managing tea tree overgrowth to improving pasture establishment and experimenting with different ways to build soil health, we are always looking at what we can do better. Every property is different, so we focus on finding practical solutions that work with the land rather than against it.
Farming for the Future
We have committed 1,000 acres of the farm to a carbon project, a joint partnership between WWF and Climate Friendly, focused on generating carbon credits while creating habitat that supports koalas and other native species.
We worked closely with WWF to design the project around our existing farming operation, ensuring we can continue grazing cattle and sheep while improving the landscape for native wildlife. The project incorporates areas of vegetation and shelter that provide habitat for native species, while also helping improve soil health and the overall condition of the land.
The carbon credits generated through the project are expected to become available from April 2027.
For us, regenerative farming is about finding a balance — producing food, improving the land and creating a healthier environment for the future. We see caring for the land as a long-term commitment, and we’re proud to be continually learning, trialling new ideas and finding better ways to farm.
